"My name is Luana, and I'm a 25-year-old student who fell in love with the art of photography.
Last year, I had the chance to get my hands on a Leica M2. It had belonged to my partner's grandfather, a passionate photographer. I had never really considered switching from digital to film, but holding this 70-year-old camera in my hands and knowing the story behind it made me fall in love with it before even shooting my first roll. In April this year, I took it with me on a family vacation to the Dolomites. Shooting film is a completely different approach to photography compared to shooting digital, which I was used to. I quickly fell in love with the process—loading the film, rewinding it, taking my time before pressing the shutter, and then scanning the photos. Watching the colors appear is nothing short of magical. " -Luana

"Former pharmacist turned commercial and portrait photographer based in Chicago, IL. Shooting film is a humbling process but the joy it brings is unmatched. Although I love to shoot people, get me out of my city and I try to turn into a travel photographer really quickly. I think these images help to portray that. " - Nolis
