"How to make your memories unforgettable.
I’m Helen, I am currently living in Taiwan where I was born and raised, but I love traveling and have also lived in America and France for short periods of time.
The first time I used a film camera was on a trip I took to southern Taiwan when I was 11 years old.
I just wanted to take a few photos to show my family, and while those photos didn’t turn out very well, that memory has stuck with me to this very day as something really special.
I continued to use a film camera throughout high school,
but after that I started taking photos with my phone because I thought that was the fastest way to record my travels and share them with others.
Then in 2020 things changed. I started shooting film photos again, and began seeing the world around me differently.
I shoot during the day and at night, but I find that shooting at the blue hour or at night is most interesting for me. There is just so much going on then. Lights are on everywhere, and the world feels alive.
It’s a special feeling.
While traveling I enjoy taking photos of scenery, vintage items, and cafes. Each photo I take has special meaning for me and has a story behind it. I’m connected to each place and object shown. I can clearly recall the day each photo was taken.
It does take time to see the results when shooting film,
but for me it's worth the wait.
I feel so happy when I receive my prints back and am transported back to the time when the shots were taken.
That is the moment I feel my memories have
become truly unforgettable."
