Hector Perez

Since I was young I've had two hobbies that have become my passions in life, skateboarding and photography.

My career as a photographer went in a very different direction than I initially thought it would and surprisingly this is the first time in my life I am able to incorporate both of my passions into one project.

Along Fm, one of my favorite skateboarding companies, makes their boards using old school techniques, and Kodak Film has always been my film of choice throughout my career as a photographer.

Together the two allow me to create an early 80’s aesthetic and finally join my two passions.

For this project I used Kodak T-MAX P3200 and TRI-X 400 because of their fine grain and infinite versatility to work in very different light conditions from portraiture to action.

They are beautiful films to use the way they are and they also provide spectacular results when pushed one stop.
