"I'm 26 years old, and I love shooting film, which feels like a natural extension of my work in the movie industry. I mainly focus on capturing landscapes, but I also enjoy taking pictures of anything that grabs my attention along the way. I mainly shoot with my best friend's dad's Nikon F3.
Freezing these memories into a frame of 35mm film is truly something that brings joy to my heart." - Leon

"When I shoot with a digital camera, it always feels like I’m fighting against the camera to get the image to look the way I want. With Tri-X, I feel like the film is working with me, helping me to get the best-looking photograph possible." - Tom

"I have been a Nashville based photographer since 2017. I am drawn to communities where tradition, community, and identity are strongly intertwined with the land, and the advances of modernity are slowed. I believe that’s where we find a glimpse of the resilience of all people. Likewise, I am drawn to environments and landscapes that stand as an eternal witness to the oneness between humans and nature. I often find myself returning to the same locations and the same people to take photos. I find that it allows me to revise and further understand the people and places I photograph, allowing me to tell a more complete story. I choose to document these subjects with natural beauty and simple ornamentation as an act of resistance to the over-complicated and increasingly impersonal world. As people view my photos, my hope is that they are drawn into a deeper understanding and relationship with the work - that for a brief moment, people feel a connection to the resiliency and oneness in the world." - James

"A little over two years ago I bought a cheap little point-and-shoot off the internet and the second I heard the funny mechanical whir of the first advance I knew I was changed forever. Shooting with film reconnected me with the art of photography and gave me a new energy to see and appreciate the world around me.
My favorite thing to do is to throw some clothes in a duffel bag, fill my backpack with film, and head off into the mountains. Out there in the wild it feels so good to just be, explore, and take the time to create. To me, landscape photography is more than just taking a picture of a place, it's trying to capture and convey some part of the feelings of humility and awe that come with those experiences and adventures in nature. Our world is truly special and through my photographs I aim to share my passion for this extraordinary planet with anyone who will take the time to look." - Nate
